How to force sync a new property to existing records

Last updated: July 13, 2026

When you add a new property mapping between HubSpot and ConnectWise, existing records that already have values in HubSpot won't automatically sync to ConnectWise. This is because the integration only syncs when it detects changes to records.

Creating a Helper Field for Resyncing Records

The recommended solution is to create a reusable "helper field" that can trigger syncs whenever needed:

  1. Create a new date field in both HubSpot and ConnectWise (you can name it something like "Force Sync" or "Resync")

  2. Map this field in your SyncSmart integration settings

  3. When you need to trigger a resync, update this helper field with the current date for all relevant records

The date change will signal the integration to resync all eligible records, including your new property mapping.

Benefits of This Approach

This helper field becomes a reusable solution for future needs. Whenever you need to run another mass resync in the future, you can simply update the date field again without any additional setup required.

This method is much more efficient than manually updating each company record individually to trigger individual syncs.
