Frequently Asked Questions: SyncSmart and ConnectWise Integration

Last updated: November 2, 2026

How does data sync from HubSpot to ConnectWise?

You choose which HubSpot records sync to ConnectWise with an inclusion list built in SmartHub. Records in that list that change are queued and sent to ConnectWise every few minutes. See Step 4: Configure Company Sync Filters.

How does data sync from ConnectWise to HubSpot?

The integration checks ConnectWise for changes every few minutes and sends records that pass your ConnectWise → HubSpot sync filter. You build that filter in SmartHub.

Which objects sync, and in which direction?

Companies, contacts, deals (opportunities), activities and line items sync both ways. Notes sync from HubSpot to ConnectWise, and products sync from ConnectWise to HubSpot. See What Objects Does the Integration Support? for the full list.

Do you sync ConnectWise service tickets?

Not today. Service tickets, deletions and file attachments are outside the standard integration. See What the ConnectWise + HubSpot integration doesn't sync for what to do instead.

Do you support both on-premise and cloud instances of ConnectWise?

Yes. Both are supported. For on-premise setups, we'll provide a list of IP addresses that need to be allowed.

What is the minimum supported version of ConnectWise?

ConnectWise version 2020.2 or higher is required.

Can SyncSmart match existing HubSpot data with ConnectWise data?

Yes. Contacts match on email address. Companies are linked with Company Matching in SmartHub, which you run before your historical sync. Deals match on the ConnectWise opportunity's Rec ID stored in HubSpot.

Do we need a developer on our team?

No. The integration is configured in SmartHub with point-and-click tools: field mappings, sync filters and matching. No coding is required.

What is the system of record, or "single source of truth"?

You set it per field in SmartHub. Each mapped field can either let ConnectWise win (ConnectWise is always treated as the source of truth) or let the most recently modified value win.

How long does it take to go live?

It depends on your data and how quickly your team works through setup. The biggest factors are how many records you sync, how much matching existing companies need, and how much testing you want to do before turning syncing on.
