Field Reference: SGA Member

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Summary

The SGA Member object is the complete, faithful mirror of every member in SGA — including those too young to be a Contact. It carries the fullest membership detail and, importantly, the household relationships that the Contact doesn't. This reference covers the fields and associations you'll use most. For how the member object relates to contacts and deals, see The Object Model.

Why this object exists

The Contact is a streamlined, marketable version of a person. The SGA Member object is the full record: every member has one (children included), and it holds the relationship structure that ties a household together. Use it when you need complete membership context or need to reason about who belongs to which family.

Key associations

The member object is where the household and cross-object links live:

Association

Connects to

Why it matters

Associated Contact

The member's own Contact (if they have one)

Bridges the full member record to the marketable contact

Head of Household

The household's primary adult

Routes a child's activity to the right adult — see Households, Minors, and Who Receives Program Emails

Associated Deal

The member's registrations

Connects a member to what they signed up for

For young children with no Contact of their own, these associations are how their registrations still reach an emailable adult in the family.
