SGA + HubSpot Integration: Overview
Last updated: July 6, 2026
What this integration does
The SyncSmart integration keeps your HubSpot portal continuously up to date with the data from your SGA (Pulse) system. It syncs one direction — from SGA into HubSpot — on a near-real-time basis, so the members, registrations, and programs you manage in SGA appear in HubSpot ready for segmentation, email, and automation.
SGA remains your system of record. HubSpot is where your marketing and engagement work happens. Because the sync is one-directional, you make data changes in SGA, and HubSpot reflects them — changes made in HubSpot are not written back to SGA.
What comes across
People — every member syncs into HubSpot as a Contact (for those eligible to be marketed to) and as a complete SGA Member record.
Registrations — each program, class, or membership sign-up becomes a Deal with Line Items describing what was registered for.
Your catalog — every program, membership, and fee is synced as a Product.
For the full picture of how each SGA entity maps to a HubSpot object, see The Object Model.
What it does not do
It does not write data from HubSpot back into SGA.
It does not build your HubSpot lists, workflows, or emails for you — those are configured in HubSpot (by your team or your implementation partner). This KB shows you how.
It does not create HubSpot Contacts for young children by design; they are protected from direct email. See Households, Minors, and Who Receives Program Emails.
How up to date is the data?
Ongoing changes in SGA flow into HubSpot within a short delay (typically minutes), not instantly. A one-time historical migration brings your existing data over when the integration is first set up; after that, the integration runs continuously to keep the two systems in parity.
