Custom Property Groups in HubSpot

Last updated: May 29, 2026

What this is

The integration creates a set of custom property groups in HubSpot to organize all the SmartRec-specific fields it brings across. Property groups appear as labeled sections in HubSpot's record sidebars and property editors, making it easier to find the SmartRec data you want.

You don't need to create any of these manually — the integration creates them on first run.

Tips for working with these groups

  • Reordering for visibility. You can reorder property groups within the HubSpot record sidebar — useful if you want SmartRec fields at the top during onboarding.

  • Don't rename them. The integration looks up groups by their internal name. Renaming the display label is fine; changing the internal name will cause the integration to recreate the group on the next sync.

  • App Object groups are locked. Property groups on the AmiliaSmartRec App Objects (Locations, Memberships/MultiPasses) are managed by the integration app and cannot be edited in HubSpot.
