If you're encountering an "Invalid entitystatus reference key" error when syncing companies from HubSpot to NetSuite, this typically occurs when the integration attempts to create a Customer record with a Lead status, which NetSuite doesn't allow.

The error message "Invalid entitystatus reference key [number]" appears when:

  • A company record doesn't exist in NetSuite yet

  • The integration tries to create a Customer record with a Lead status

  • NetSuite rejects this combination as invalid
