Field Reference: Deal & Line Item
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Summary
Registrations sync as Deals, and the detail of what was registered for lives on the Line Items attached to each deal. This is the most important object pair for segmentation: the program name, branch, and product type you filter on all live on the line item. See The Object Model for the big picture.
The Deal — the registration event
A deal represents a single registration and is associated to the person who registered.
Property | What it holds | Good for segmenting? |
|---|---|---|
Deal Name | Identifies the registration | Reference |
Deal Stage | Registration status (active, waiting, cancelled, renewed) | Filtering active vs. cancelled |
Pipeline | Which registration pipeline the deal is in | Separating registration types |
Member Family ID | The registrant's household key | Matching to the person |
Create / Close Date | Registration timing | Timeframe filters |
First / Last Name, Age, Gender | The registrant | Personalization / demographics |
The Line Item — what was registered for
Each line item describes one thing on the registration. This is where program segmentation happens.

Product Type Description | Program vs. Membership vs. Product/Fee | Yes — filter to "Program" |

Filter on Product Type Description = "Program" to isolate real class registrations. See Product Types. To build a full list, see How to Build a Program-Based List.
How they connect
A deal associates to the Contact and SGA Member who registered, and to its Line Items; each line item references the Product it came from. This chain — Contact → Deal → Line Item → Product — is what lets you segment people by the programs they registered for.
