Portals is a product that allows you to sync data between different HubSpot portals. This is useful for companies that have multiple HubSpot portals and need to keep data in sync between them. The Portals integration allows you to setup groups of Hubspot portals and map objects between them, specifying the sync logic and field mappings.


Who is this for?

This product is for companies that have multiple HubSpot portals and need to keep data in sync between them. This is useful for companies that:

  • have multiple business units or divisions that use separate HubSpot portals
  • are merging with or acquiring other companies that use HubSpot, and need to migrate data from an acquired company's portal to their own or vice-versa
  • have separate portals for different regions or languages
  • are franchise organizations that have separate portals for each franchisee and want to coordinate records
  • are agencies that manage multiple clients' HubSpot portals
  • work as a spoke-and-hub or a mother-children model, where one portal is the "mother" and others are "children" that distribute contacts, leads and deals to the children and write back details to the mother


How does it work?

The Portals product works by taking snapshots of records on a 5-minute interval and comparing them to the records in the target portal. If a record has changed, it will be updated in the target portal. If a record is created in the source portal or does not exist in the target portal, it will be created in the target portal. The integration also creates all corresponding associations between records, such as associating a contact with a company or a deal as well as all properties that may be missing in the target portal.

The Portals product is priced based on the number of records you are syncing between portals and number of portals that are expected to be integrated together.
